Literature By Zandra

Tell your life story with Literature by Zandra. Whether you’d like to share with your family or the world, it’s time to publish your personal narrative. LZ takes you from point A to point Z, guiding you throughout the entirety of the writing process.

Rest assured you are in good hands. The writer is certified in creative writing through Wesleyan University and has understudied many publishers over the years. Additional interview and bio-writing training has been accomplished with notable publications and organizations.

The typical project proceeds as follows:

Preliminary Work

-Questionnaire: The process begins with a questionnaire to better understand your project and goals.

Consultation Session: With the baseline of information from the questionnaire, LZ provides a thirty-to-sixty-minute consultation session. During this session, a plan will be made as to how to conquer creating your manuscript.

-Reviewing Materials: Clients may provide materials including personal notes, journal pages, any school or newspaper articles in which the client is mentioned, photographs, and more.

-Interviewing: LZ interviews the client to gather necessary information. This is usually done over a series of several sessions. If possible, it is best to additionally interview friends, family, colleagues, and anyone else who may provide insight into who the client is and their life experiences.

-Researching: LZ conducts research to gather facts, statistics, and any other needed information when applicable.

The Writing Process

-Strategizing and Outlining: This step consists of creating a writing strategy and detailed outline. This step plots the course forward and kicks off the writing process.

-Writing: The client has the ongoing opportunity to review writing at the end of each completed section and offer their feedback. This is useful as it informs the writing of the next section based on the client’s likes and dislikes but is not mandatory if the client prefers to wait to provide feedback until a completed first draft is available.

-Revising: Once the first draft is complete, the client reviews the entirety of the manuscript and provides both overarching feedback and line-by-line feedback.

-Final Draft: The revision input from the client is implemented and the final draft, ready for publication, is produced and sent to the client.

Please note, you may choose to be as involved or detached from the project as you wish. Some clients prefer to supply the necessary materials and reconnect when the work is done while some may prefer to work hand-in-hand during the creation process. You will be accommodated no matter where you fall on this spectrum.
